Julian turned 64 months (5 years 4 months) on 28 September 2012. Here are his updates:
- He has started reading the photo captions on our blog.
- He loves being loud.
- He can be quite stubborn, and often responds only after being scolded or threatened *rolls eyes*.
-
Sometimes imitates Muslim peace greetings or prayers, influenced by Upin dan Ipin Hari Raya episodes.
- He continues to amuse us with his interpretation of things :-). When passing Shamrock Beach one day, he exclaimed (referring to the rocks in the sea), "Look at those rocks! They're sham rocks!" When we told him that his great-grandaunt had a stroke, he said seriously, "She got lines."
[One scar too many: Hope this is not a yearly affair]
Justin turned 38 months on 25 September 2012. Here are his updates:
- He likes to sing. He has even made up his own song to 'tell' us what he's doing!
- He can play on his own.
- He speaks with a 'Malaysian Chinese' accent, expertly using 'lah' and 'wan'. *slaps forehead*
- He has begun to make amusing remarks :-) Unfortunately we don't recall any to include in this blogpost :-(
- For the past two months or so, he has been generally sleeping through the night. No more waking for the wee morning Milo. Yay!

On Malaysia Day (16 September 2012), we went to Bayview Beach Resort at Batu Feringghi for a beach hotel-stay. This is our second beach hotel-stay at Bayview. Papa and Mummy joined us.
We booked the family suite which was spacious. We had an extra bed and a cot brought in as well. However, upon checking-in at 3pm, our suite was still not ready. So, we headed to the Kids Club for the boys to play around while Jianna took a nap in the baby room.

The suite was finally ready at about 4.15pm. Soon after settling in, we headed for the pool. The boys had a good time and Jianna had another nap.

We took to the beach the next day. The tide was coming up and the waves were quite rough. That didn't deter Julian from getting himself wet. We were cautious, though, because of the undertow. Julian did eventually lose a watering can beach toy. Justin was content playing with the sand, while Jianna kept Papa and Mummy entertained.

Except for the delay in getting our suite, we were pleased with our stay.
Justin had his first movie experience on 9 September 2012 at GSC Queensbay Mall. We watched Sammy 2. It was also Jianna's first official visit to the cinema.
The boys were generally well-behaved but similar to Julian's first cinema experience, they ended up wandering near the stairs just beside the seats. Justin complained that he had difficulty seeing because it was dark in the cinema.
