Last Friday (11 January 2008), we had fried fish in cream of garlic with white wine sauce, and macaroni cheese.
For the fried fish dish, we first marinated the fish with salt, pepper and mixed spices before frying. For the sauce, it's a mixture of garlic, milk, fish sauce, white wine, honey (or sugar) and some corn starch to thicken.

Preparing the macaroni cheese was simple. We bought canned macaroni cheese from Tesco :o).

On the whole it tasted not bad. Some garnishing would have made it look like an expensive meal.

Macaroni cheese, my favorite :)
what is fish sauce? is this the thai style fish sauce or western style fish sauce?
white wine - do you use cooking white wine or the normal drinking white wine? Once the bottle of white wine is open - how long can it lasts?
huisia: Yummy yes?
snoopy: Fish sauce = thai fish sauce. White wine = "drinking" white wine. Opened wine should be drunk as soon as possible. Although it can last for a while in the fridge the taste is not as good. We used left over white wine. Actually the wine is optional as we couldn't taste much of it :o).
None left for me? And I was just a stone's throw away!
giddy tiger: Sorry loh... we were hungry and so we "sapu" all :o).
Not a fan at all with macaroni and cheese .. but PB's favourite.. and most "ang mohs" love it lah..!
