Julian at 12 weeks

Julian is now 12 weeks old (2 3/4 months). He is smiling very often now and loves to babble. He's saying lots of "ah-woh", "huh-huh", "goo" and anything in between. He seems to be telling us what he dreamt of the night before or how his day was at the baby sitter's.

His head is more steady now and when he is upright, he doesn't really require us to prop his head. He has also started drooling a bit and he loves to suck his finger-flavoured fingers.

On the feeding front, Julian is currently about 90% on breast milk. At the baby sitter's, he takes about 2 feeds of expressed breask milk and 1 feed of formula. At home, he is practically fully breast fed.

He is due for his next immunisation appointment next week.

Yes, give him as much breast milk as possible. Our little Ethan only started formula at 15.5 months! :D
Did you see how much energy he had in church? :P

giddy tiger: Yes, we're giving him as much as we can. Presently, it's only possible for Angie to express milk once at the office. So, this limits the amount he's getting at the baby sitter's.

Bravo to Angie! I forgot to ask - anything happened with the fenugreek?

I love Julian's chuuby cheeks, which you're doing a good job capturing. Hmm...I think he looks like Angie ya?

kittycat: We think the fenugreek did help to some extent but we can't say for sure because there was no sudden increase in supply. Moreover, we read that it should not be consumed for an extended period.

You can try soya bean milk to boost the milk supply too. It tastes better then fenugreek anyway, and I am sure Julian would love the taste too. Other than that, lots of water should do the trick.
