My dad and I climbed Bukit Hijau last Saturday (11 February 2006) morning. Bukit Hijau is located off Jalan Tembaga in Island Park.
The climb took us about 30-40 minutes with brief stops on the way. The view at the summit is quite spectacular. On one side of the hill, the view stretches from the Penang Bridge to the Gurney Drive area. On the other side, you can see the turf club, Ayer Itam, Farlim and Paya Terubong.

We made it to the foot of the hill in about 20 minutes.
A place to share sights, sounds, smells, sensation, salivations and situations...

Ipoh Excursion
On 1 Feb 2006 (4th day of Chinese New Year), we went on a little outing to the Gunung Lang Recreational Park in Ipoh along Kuala Kangsar Road. Visitors to the park have to take a short boat ride across a scenic lake to the park.

There were two lookout towers at the park offering quite a good view.
After Gunung Lang, we adjourned to Cherry Park for indian fried noodles and chendol. No tables, just stools... and the ice is shaved mechanically by hand.
[Noodles on the Five-Foot Way]
To end the day, our nephew Gabriel entertained us on the piano.
