Jerald Comes Home

Jerald was discharged in the evening on the same day he was born. After all the formalities, we finally arrived home with Jerald around midnight.

We prepared presents for Jerald to "present" to Julian, Justin, and Jianna. They were all very happy and excited!

So far, Jerald has been feeding and sleeping well.

Jerald's Arrival

We are happy to announce the birth of our fourth child - Jerald, on 28 January 2016. Jerald weighed 2.7kg or about 6lb. He is 48cm in length with a head circumference of 32cm. He was delivered spontaneously at 38 weeks (about 1 1/2 weeks early).

Baby Jerald and Mummy Angie are doing fine, both were discharged from the Penang Hospital's maternity ward on the same day.

Jerald is the fourth grandchild for Angie's parents, and the sixth for my parents (4 boys and 2 girls).

We're Pregnant with Number Four!

We're expecting our fourth baby! Angie is now 34 weeks along and baby is due on Chinese New Year's day.

From recent ultrasound scans, baby is a boy.

We learnt this month that Jianna can fasten the button on her dress by herself. Jianna credits Teacher O at her kindy with teaching her this skill.

Jianna at 43 Months

Jianna turned 43 months old on 30 October 2015.

Currently into playing doctor, Jianna would get either Daddy or Mummy to be the patient and 'stay' in her hospital. On a particular occasion, Daddy finally managed to convince her that she could use her soft toys as patients. "Yes, they are sicking!" she announced.

Since the kids were preparing for their kindy concert, Daddy decided to download videos of the songs they would be singing during the concert. Jianna had the part of a camel and there was a dance for them. After watching the video she asked, "Why the camel in the computer never shake the bum-bum?"

Justin at 75 Months

Justin turned 75 months old on 25 October 2015.

Justin has been doing some critical thinking during storytime:

Story#1 The Little Red Hen: The little red hen cut down each stalk of golden wheat with her little scythe.
Justin: How can the little red hen hold the scythe? She doesn't have any hands!

Story#2 The Magic Porridge Pot: When the girl was first given the pot in the woods, she immediately asked the pot to cook. When the porridge was ready, the girl ate up every last bit!
Justin: How did she eat all the porridge? She had no spoon!

Jianna turned 41 months old on 30 August 2015.

Jianna was into playing doctor...
Jianna: Mummy, you are not well. (comes with a stethoscope and puts it to Mummy's tummy). Are you better now?
Mummy: Not really. But I'll be better if you give me a kiss.
Dr. Jianna walks away without a word or a glance and goes to some other toys.
Jianna: You have to take some medicine. ('spoons' Mummy with a tennis racket). There, now you are better! (with a nod and a certain finality in her voice!)
No room for appeals here...BUT... all is not lost. The second time round she obliged the kiss and thereafter offered it as a healing remedy :o).
