After church, Julian was pleased with our comment that he was a good boy during mass.
Julian: I behaved like Jesus.

Julian turned 97 months old on 28 June 2015.

Daddy was trying to wake Julian up one morning with some difficulty. On one of my last attempts, he responded, "I'm still charging." *slaps forehead*

Mummy: No...it's very hot. I can see the smoke coming up.
Julian: That's not smoke! Are you crazy?
Mummy: What do you mean that's not smoke?
Julian: That's steam!

We prepared two empty egg shells for Julian's art and craft at school.
Daddy: How many egg shells did you use?
Julian: One.
Daddy: What happened to the other one?
Julian: I lent it to ET. She asked for permission.
Daddy: That's nice. Is she Catholic? *Daddy going into match-making mode*
Julian: Yes!
Daddy: How do you know she's Catholic?
Julian: I know by the colour of her skin.

As I was driving home with Julian after picking him up from school, I informed him about his piano lesson.
Me: Julian, you don't have piano lesson tonight because your music teacher is sick.
Julian: Yes, I know!
Me: You mean you already knew that there is no lesson?
Julian: Yah!
Me: How did you know?
Julian: It's all in my brain!
Me: ?!?!

As I arrived home with Julian after his music class "prediction", I attempted to park out (normally, if I think I'm first to arrive home, I'd try to park out (at the common parking area) so that the other car can be parked in our allotted parking lot). As I turned around a tight blind corner, I suddenly spotted the other car, i.e. I should have headed straight to our allotted lot.
Me: Ah! Mummy had already parked out!
Julian: Daddyyyyy!
Me: How would I have known Mummy had parked out? I could not see around the bend, could I?!
Julian: It's all in your brain!
Me: ?!?!

Julian at 88 Months

Julian turned 88 months old on 28 September 2014. Here are some noteworthy conversations.

Julian was busy showing me his expertise in Ninja Kaka when all of a sudden he says, "Don't listen to the Devil". Surprised, I asked him to clarify. It turned out that it was something he heard during Sunday mass the day before (Julian is the type who is always fidgety during mass).

Julian conversing (or rather shouting) to a neighbour friend two floors above our unit (for all other neighbours to hear *roll eyes*)...
Friend: Julian!
Julian: Hi! HH kor kor!
Friend: What are you doing?
Julian: Homework! What are you doing?
Friend: Homework also! How much of homework do you have?
Julian: Two pieces!
Friend: OK, Bye!
Julian: Bye!
Julian then turns to me...
Julian: HH kor kor is doing his homework also... strange huh?!
Me: ??!?

• Being a die-hard rice eater, we were surprised that on 19 July 2014, he ordered Chicken Maryland for dinner.
  
• He seems to be coping well in school. We are happy that he could recognise and remember many Chinese characters.

Julian at 85 months

Julian turned 85 months old on 28 June 2014.

We are happy to see him more willing to try new food and especially fruits. He finally ate a little bit of durian (which previously was like poison to him!) and he seemed to like mangosteen (the seedless segments, of course).

He had another milk tooth extracted on 10 June 2014. The permanent one is already peeping out :-)

Julian is 7 Years Old

Julian turned 7 years old on 28 May 2014.

This year his birthday fell on the first day of the mid-year school holidays. We had a simple birthday dinner for him in Double Good restaurant in Penang with three grandaunts and his aunt from KL who was up for the school holidays.

For the record, thanks to Julian, the mirror in the car visor is now officially the CCTV in the car. It's used to monitor the children in the back seats to make sure they are behaving themselves :-)

Julian at 83 Months

Julian turned 83 months old on 28 April 2014.

He has begun learning the freestyle for swimming. He started off with the breaststroke but seems to have problems with overall coordination for this stroke. Apparently this is not something unusual as even some adults find difficulty doing the breaststroke. Hopefully he'll be more adept at the freestyle...

He had one of his upper tooth extracted on 28 April as it was already very loose.
